Only those of us who had our lives stolen by CM/FM can appreciate how good is this book. It's both fun and relieving to read that we were not alone all those years, and to read about the real life careers of those players who were once our stars.

Disappointing

Was super-excited about this as an avid fan of CM and FM. Aside from a few decent articles thought the book is mainly dull. It begins with a banal interview with the creators in an unappealing Q&A format, then ends with the author's weak stab at fiction as he writes up his adventures with a German lower league side; I certainly didn't buy the book for that. The best part of the book was finding there is a vibrant ChampMan 01/02 community still up and running. Downloading the old version of the game has revolutionised my gaming!
