About the Author
Fr. Glenn J. Kohrman was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1962, attended parochial and pubic schools. He was ordained a priest in the Roman Catholic Church on November 28th, 1992. He studied theology in Boston at St. John's Seminary from 1987 to 1992. Before entering the seminary he studied Engineering at Purdue University. He received a bachelors and a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1985 and 1987 respectively. Fr. Kohrman has served as a priest since 1992 and has been assigned to five parishes, one of which was Hispanic. He also has been an adjunct faculty member of Ancilla College, Donaldson, Indiana and the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana, teaching introductory classes in ethics, philosophy , Hebrew and Christian Scriptures and College Algebra. He also has assisted in the Diocesan Vocations Office. He is also Catholic Chaplain for Culver Academies in Culver, Indiana.

excellent book

By way of disclaimer, I should probably say that I am an Episcopalian preparing for ordination. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it, and I have a few observations from my perspective.
The organization of this book is fairly topical, and it lends itself to being read that way. It would make a great text for a mother's book group for example, because to understand and appreciate a section it is not necessary to have read the previous one. In other words, you could miss one week and not be lost. If this sounds like criticism, it is not. Finding appropriate books for groups like this can be a challenge.
Context (from where I sit) is orthodox and mainstream Roman teaching. Examples are good, and they are connected to life with excellent illustrations.
One problem I will throw out there is that there is an appeal to authority in some of the arguments. To someone who is not a Roman Catholic, things the Pope has written are nice and everything, but they are no more authoritative than something Cardinal Dulles or Dallas Willard wrote. This appeal to authority is probably not an issue for the intended audience, but I think the book has value to a wider group than the Roman Catholics Fr. Glenn had in mind when he wrote it.
